End Sleepless Nights: 12 Point Sleep Like A Toddler Plan

Want to finally put an end to sleepless nights and exhausting days? You can! Sleep is natural and barring new babies and other unavoidable disturbances we can all get the sleep we need every night if we make some simple little changes in our lives
When you were a small child I bet you didn't have sleepless nights, did you? So why do little children sleep so well? Well, for one thing they don't go to bed and worry about tomorrow's problems. They go to bed when its dark and go to sleep when they are tired.
When its morning small children wake up without an alarm clock having had all the sleep they need. Of course they don't have to work long hours and they don't smoke or drink coffee and colas full of caffeine. What else? Exercise? Try following a two year old about for a day!
Once upon a time we lived pretty much like our toddlers do today. But once the light bulb was invented our troubles started. Edison made it possible for us to ignore night and day and to work and play 24/7. We can't go back to those days before electric light, cell phones, computers and all night shopping but we can make some changes in our lifestyles that will help us to sleep.
Ok so here is your Sleep Like A Toddler Plan to End Sleepless Nights.
1. Cut out all coffee and other caffeinated food and beverages from late afternoon
2. No nicotine or alcohol within the last hour before bedtime.
3. Have a glass a milky drink and a small carbohydrate snack at bedtime.
4. Exercise for 30 minutes every day but not just before you go to bed.
5. Don't keep working all evening, relax for at least an hour before going to bed.
6. Minimize bright lights an hour before bed, that includes your computer screen.
7. Relax in bed and don't allow yourself to think about problems.
8. Learn and practice some relaxation exercises such as meditation or PMR
9. Go to bed at the same time every night allowing yourself 8 hours of sleep time.
10. At the weekend and go to bed and get up at the same time as you do during the week.
11. Come home from social occasions in time to stick to your bedtime routine.
12. Don't take sleeping pills they impair your performance more than being tired does.
These tips will make a big difference to your sleep.
